Aside from the beauty of the famous interactive street art in Georgetown, Penang Malaysia, Asia Camera Museum is one of the highlight and the most memorable place I visited.
Photography enthusiasts, vintage lover or simply one who adores antiques! This museum is worth to pay a visit. There were a huge variety of cameras on display for everyone to see.
Asia camera museum features a cool collection of vintage cameras from all over the world. All camera collection came from many different sources. But they were all gathered with an understanding of how important they were to the history of photography.
The Camera Museum is the 1st camera museum in South East Asia made its existence on September 2013 in Georgetown, Penang.
Mac Tan, one of the founder of the said museum, himself initiated the tour. He mentioned that part of the collections were from his ancestors. The tour was very insightful, from the history to the advancement of photography.
You could even get the chance to hold, carry and try out the cameras displayed.
Darkrooms have been created and used since the inception of photography in the early 19th century.
I heard of darkrooms since I had my photojournalism class way back in college but it was my first time entering this room. Fortunately I get to see what it looks like. The workshop used by photographers to carry out prints. You get to explore and learn how films are developed.
The experience just being inside the red-lighted room?! SIMPLY AMAZING! HAHAHA 😀
